At Woolumbi Farm we have created a farm gate store where we provide you with the opportunity to purchase the finest quality free range, ethically farmed Lamb, Beef, Pork, Smallgoods, salamis and handmade condiments. Our stock is raised on organic principles where we care for the land and the animals, abiding by the principles of environmental sustainability an ethical farming. We are into sustainability and lowering the carbon footprint.
Due to the fact we grow, butcher and prepare our own meats we are able to provide you with a true paddock to plate experience, an initiative to inspire confidence and deliver quality and flavor. Kenneth & Sonya are avid foodies and believe the true paddock to plate experience is second to none and knew others with the same mindset wanted a place to shop. The store was created through the realization that other people wanted to enjoy knowing where their food comes from. So Sonya pushed her accounting career to the side and with Kenneth, opened the farm gate shop.
We have so much pleasure in providing the finest food to you. Our children love getting involved too and you can always see them on the weekend sneaking In a tasting of salami, sausage, jams, chutneys and other delicious goodies in the store. They claim they are our taste testers! Got to make sure everything is at it's finest, they say... hmmmm! But hey, if the kids love it, we know we are onto a good thing. Kenneth is a master charcuterer (charcuterie: the art of making smallgoods) and trained in Tuscanny by invitation from the finest charcuterers in Italy. Our smallgoods have been written about in the Age Epicure and were touted as the best tasting salamis you will find in Australia.
Kenneth & Sonya run courses on Woolumbi Farm during winter on the art of charcuterie. It's truly a hands on experience where we combine complete novices to professional butchers in the classes. Everyone learns something... not to mention the taste sensations our participants get to enjoy. Kenneth & Sonya also make a methode champenoise apple and pear cider, aged in French oak - which is nothing like you would have tried before - Dry, Sparkling & Delicious.
